Ranch Description

This beautiful 5,000 acre hunting ranch situated in northeastern Utah is located 35 miles from Salt Lake City over Big Mountain pass during the summer and 60 miles from Salt Lake City via either I-80 or I-84 during the winter. It is bordered by Highway 66 to the north, and large private properties to the east, south, and west. Moose, elk, mule deer, mountain lion, bobcat, turkey, ruffed and blue grouse, hungarian partridge, chukar, quail, and waterfowl can also be found on the property. Each of these species with the exception of moose, mountain lion, and turkey can be hunted during regular hunting seasons with over the counter big/small game hunting licenses and appropriate tags. The others require permits obtained through annual drawings. However, special consideration is given to the owner. Successful hunts in 2007-08 included elk, deer, mountain lion, bobcat, turkey, grouse, and fish. A 6,000 squarefoot 6-bay garage (two stories) was completed in 2007. The interior is not yet finished. Landscaping includes 2 stone decks, a stream which surrounds the lodge, sprinkler irrigation, and a stocked fishing pond. Utilities include electricity, propane, drainfield septic tank, and fresh water from two wells. A satellite dish provides phone, television, and internet.
