Sixteen Mile Draw Ranch is located in Southeastern New Mexico. A large operating cattle ranch totaling over 15,000 acres. Located 20 miles west of Artesia, NM, just outside the community of Hope. This BLM ranch is allotted to run 378 animal units year long. Offering 1673 deeded, 7194 BLM and 6295 State Land Lease. The ranch is comprised of rolling hills and four major draws. Sixteen Mile Draw, Walnut Draw, Four Mile Draw, Catclaw Draw and the Penasco River are all located within the ranch. The average rainfall for this area is 12-14 inches. This ranch also has 180 acres of water rights or a total diversion of 540 acres feet annum. The farmland is approximately 80 acres and can be irrigated when water flows down the Penasco River. A 5480 sq foot covered processing barn is included at one of the corrals which is comprised of a covered barn, silencer chute and crowd gate, sorting pens, and a separate covered area to process calves.
