Directions to the ranch from Carrizozo, take highway 54, 22 miles North just past mile marker 145 and adjacent from Ancho. Turn Left into Windmill Ranches. Follow the road about 2 miles, you'll see a barn (shown in the pictures). Either take the first Left to the 40 acre or take the second left to the 140 acre parcel. Properties cannot be subdivided. Windmill Ranch is a 19,000. acre ranch subdivided into 20-140 acre parcels. 3700 acres is called Common land, which is set-aside for landowners to use for horseback and hiking. Elevation at the ranch is approx 5800 to 6000 feet, varied gentle terrain with mostly Juniper for tree cover. Some parcels have BLM or State land behind them and all lots do have access thru common land strips to get to the public lands.
